Orphans' pensions
In the event of the death of an active insured or a pension recipient, children under 18, or children under 25 who are still in education or training, will receive an orphan's pension. This amounts to 20% of your insured disability pension or the drawn retirement or disability pension, up to a maximum of 60% for three or more children.
Notification of death
We request that the survivors inform us of the death of an insured (active insured, retiree, or recipient of a disability pension) by telephone or in writing and submit the following documents:
- Copy of death certificate and family register
- In the case of eligible children who are aged 18 or over, proof that they are still in education
- Bank details (clearing and account number) of the spouse, cohabiting partner, registered partner and/or children.
Once we have received the necessary documents, we will check the entitlement and pay survivors' benefits to the surviving dependants.
