In the event of the death of an active insured, a recipient of a disability pension, or a retiree, the Pension Fund pays a number of survivors' benefits.

Surviving spouse's or cohabiting partner's pension Two-thirds of the insured disability pension Two-thirds of the drawn disability pension Eligible at retirement: One-third, two-thirds or three-thirds of the retirement pension
Lump sum payable at death All retirement assets, but at least 50% of:
pensionable base salary
+ base salary excess
+ the average of the three most recent awards
All retirement assets, but at least 50% of:
pensionable base salary
+ base salary excess
+ the average of the three most recent awards
Three annual pensions less the pensions already drawn
Orphans' pensions For children under 18, or children under 25 in education:
20% of the insured disability pension in the pension capital savings, up to a max. of 60% for three or more children
For children under 18, or children under 25 in education:
20% of the disability pension from the pension capital savings, up to a max. of 60% for three or more children
For children under 18, or children under 25 in education:
20% of the retirement pension, up to a max. of 60% for three or more children

Notification of death

We request that the survivors inform us of the death of an insured (active insured, retiree, or recipient of a disability pension).

Once we have received the necessary documents, we will check the entitlement and pay survivors' benefits to the surviving dependants.
