The new Board of Trustees of the Pension Fund

Every four years, employees insured with the Pension Fund of Credit Suisse Group (Switzerland) elect their next employee representatives for the Board of Trustees.

In the fall of 2020, employees of Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd., Credit Suisse AG, and affiliated companies had the opportunity to submit their candidacy for the Board of Trustees of the Pension Fund. Since the introduction of the 1e retirement capital savings plan in January 2020, the Pension Fund of Credit Suisse Group (Switzerland) has been made up of two foundations: Pension Fund and Pension Fund 2. This means that two Boards of Trustees had to be appointed via the elections in 2020 for the first time – one for each pension fund. A total of 29 people stood for election as employee representatives.

The following employee representatives were elected at the subsequent Board of Trustees election:

Constituency 1, Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd. and Credit Suisse AG, German-speaking Switzerland:

Daniel Ammon, PF1 and PF2
Daniel Ammon has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Pension Fund for four years and is extremely committed to representing the interests of the insured. Within Credit Suisse, he is currently responsible for the institutional client business in Region Mittelland and, together with his team in Bern, serves Swiss pension funds and insurance companies. He is keen to ensure redistribution from the active participants to the pensioners happens sustainably and based on a fair model. As a specialist in the institutional client business, he is also well versed in the challenges of Swiss pension funds and uses this expertise to help shape a modern, secure, and attractive pension fund.

Daniel Egli, PF1 and PF2
Daniel Egli joined the Board of Trustees as an employee representative in October 2019. He has worked in retirement planning for over 20 years. He has also supplemented his expertise with various training courses. He joined Credit Suisse as a relationship manager in the private client business in 2004, working in Region Central Switzerland. He subsequently led the functional management for pension provision in Region Central Switzerland and now works as a financial planner in E&E and HNWI. Alongside these duties, he served as a member of the Staff Council for eight years. His financial planning advice to staff clients leaves him well placed to evaluate the needs and interests of employees with a view to incorporating these factors in the Pension Fund in a representative manner.

Moreno Ardia, PF1 and PF2
Moreno Ardia has over 20 years of experience with the second pillar. He is an External Financial Advisor (EFA) specializing in employee benefits insurance and is working on the new 1e pension solution for clients at Credit Suisse. He has previously managed various pension funds over a number of years and also served as an employee representative for two foundations. He seeks to represent the interests of the insured in the best possible way within the Board of Trustees. He is committed to safeguarding the long-term financing of the Pension Fund and to ensuring that the benefits within the Pension Fund remain sufficient and the regulations are favorable for the insured.

Gaby Kuchta-Schmidt, PF1
Gaby Kuchta-Schmidt began her career with Credit Suisse in the second pillar. She has implemented PF mandates for a number of years in her capacity as a pensions specialist, as well as participating in meetings of the Board of Trustees. The Pension Fund is a central interface in her current role in Health Management. With a background in pension provision and over 30 years of professional experience at Credit Suisse, she is keen to use her position as an employee representative to help further developments in the area of sustainable pension solutions for the Pension Fund and to increase female representation on the various foundation committees.

Joëlle Laprévote, PF2
Joëlle Laprévote is a relationship manager in the Premium Clients business. Her bachelor's degree in business administration and banking and finance, plus 16 years of experience with Credit Suisse, have allowed her to build a wide range of expertise and vast experience. Her role has given her experience with identifying, assessing, and managing risks. Throughout her many years in the front office, pension provision, the Pension Fund, and sustainability have been regular features of her work, as have investments, investment strategies, and asset allocation.

 

Constituency 2, Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd. and Credit Suisse AG, French-speaking and Italian-speaking Switzerland:

Timoteo Gandolfi, PF1
Timoteo Gandolfi has been working as a relationship manager in the Premium Clients business in Ticino since December 2020. His previous role as a Client Portfolio Manager has left him with the conviction that financial planning and investment go hand in hand. He holds a master's degree in accounting and finance from the University of St. Gallen and is also an accredited Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). As part of the younger generation of employees, he is well aware of the challenges that will face the Pension Fund in the future and is keen to bring this perspective to bear within the Board of Trustees as an employee representative.

Arnaud Erhard, PF2
Arnaud Erhard has been with Credit Suisse since 2008 and works in Lausanne as a Key Account Manager in the Large Swiss Corporates (LSC) area. For him, the Pension Fund represents the personal and collective commitment of the insured. It is therefore important to him in his role as an employee representative that he represents the needs of the insured within the Board of Trustees as effectively as possible and that he both understands the matters that are currently relevant for the Pension Fund and gives them the necessary attention.

Christian Braun, PF1 and PF2
In his capacity as a product specialist for Swiss real estate vehicles, Christian Braun has a thorough understanding of the needs and the structure of Swiss pension funds. As a financial planner with a Swiss specialist certificate and a qualified financial analyst and asset manager, he is also extremely familiar with employee benefits insurance and the financial markets. His activities include regular discussions with investors and implementing capital increases. He is keen to bring his more than 20 years of experience in asset management into play on the Board of Trustees of the Pension Fund of Credit Suisse.
