New Chief Investment Officer for the Pension Fund

The Board of Trustees has appointed Andreas Dänzer as the new Chief Investment Officer of the Pension Fund of Credit Suisse Group (Switzerland) as of the beginning of March 2021. In his new role, Mr. Dänzer will become a member of the Pension Fund Management and is responsible for the entire investment area.


A Swiss-certified financial analyst and asset manager / CIAA, Andreas Dänzer has held a variety of senior positions in the financial and investment sector. After many years of service with the pension fund PUBLICA, he was Head of Asset Management at the UBS pension fund from 2010 to 2018, where he led the investment team and was chairman of the investment committee. Since 2018, Mr. Dänzer has overseen the capital investment division of asga Pensionskasse and is also chairman of the investment commission and member of the executive board.

Andreas Dänzer replaces Guido Bächli, who will be retiring at the end of April 2021. Guido Bächli is to be commended for his many years of distinguished service. In more than 20 years at the Pension Fund, he has significantly influenced the Pension Fund’s investment orientation and, with his great expertise, has contributed to position the Pension Fund successfully and in a future-oriented manner, particularly in numerous difficult investment years. We would like to thank Guido Bächli for his dedication and welcome Andreas Dänzer to the Pension Fund Management.
