Change to the Board of Trustees of the Pension Fund
As of November 1, 2017, Thomas Bärlocher will become a member of the Board of Trustees for the Pension Fund of Credit Suisse Group (Switzerland). He succeeds Thomas Vögeli.
As of November 1, 2017, Thomas Bärlocher will join the Board of Trustees for the Pension Fund of Credit Suisse Group (Switzerland) as employee representative for companies affiliated with Credit Suisse. He is a business economist by training with a postgraduate diploma as a Financial Consultant (UAS) and an Executive MBA from the University of Zurich. Thomas Bärlocher has been an employee at BANK-now since 2009, initially as Head of Credit Financing and, since 2015, as Head of Vehicle Financing, and is also a member of the Executive Board at BANK-now. Moreover, the 56-year-old is on the Management Board of the Swiss Leasing Association (SLA) and that of the self-regulatory organization (SRO/SLA).
Thomas Bärlocher will serve the remaining term of his predecessor, Thomas Vögeli, who is renouncing his position as a member of the Board of Trustees due to a change of employer.
Duties of the Board of Trustees
As the highest governing body, the Board of Trustees manages and supervises the Pension Fund of Credit Suisse Group (Switzerland). It defines the overall strategy of the Pension Fund and monitors its implementation. During their four years in office, the members of the Board of Trustees dedicate themselves in particular to the areas of pension provision, investment of assets, risk management, and organization of the Pension Fund. The 12-person board appoints the management, the pensions actuary and the independent auditors, while also designating the members of the various Pension Fund committees.
